Chattahoochee Ridge Cattle Company (CRCC)

Our goal at Chattahoochee Ridge Cattle Company is "Breeding Functional Sim Genetics for the South." To achieve this goal, we utilize SimAngus, Simmental, Simbrah, and SimAngus HT cattle. We are located near Shorterville, in Henry County, Alabama. We're in the southeastern portion of the state, just a mile or so west of the Chattahoochee River. We are about 30 minutes north of Dothan, AL, about 90 minutes west of Albany, GA, and only an hour north of the Florida state line. 

The Mobley family has been in the cattle business for at least four generations. We have experience in commercial cow-calf and stocker cattle production, and our involvement in breeding SimAngus and Simmental cattle dates back to 2014. However, our original involvement with the Simmental breed began with a herd we first brought on the farm in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Years ago, we found of all the breeds we've dealt with, Simmental-influenced cattle give us more to work with in terms of growth and maternal and carcass traits than any other single breed. Furthermore, we haven't found a breed more complementary to the Angus breed, whether red or black.

We sell bulls in the Deep South Genetics Bull Sale in Troy, AL, held annually on the last Saturday in October. We often have private treaty cattle to sell as well. If we don't have what you're looking for, we'll do our best to help you find it through one of our many contacts in the industry.

We are striving to expand and grow our Sim Genetics herd with nothing but the most desirable cattle suitable for the Southeastern United States while being confident these cattle will work in just about any environment.
